I am a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ), reflecting my commitment to ongoing professional development.

I recently completed a Master of Business Informatics (Level 9) at ICL Graduate Business School, Auckland, New Zealand, a discipline that combines informatics and management innovation and concepts, incorporating service computing and security.

My academic background includes a B.A. (Sp) in Economics & Statistics from the University of Sabaragamuwa, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from PIM, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Informatics at ICL Graduate Business School, Auckland.

As a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of CA Sri Lanka and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy UK, and the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka, I maintain a strong professional network and continually seek to expand my knowledge.

With a solid foundation in Chartered Accounting and an Associate Membership (ACIT) in the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Sri Lanka, I bring expertise in taxation and finance.

My professional background is enhanced by a Level 2 certification in Business Coaching from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Sri Lanka, equipping me with advanced skills in strategic business support and coaching. Leveraging extensive experience across finance, tax planning, and advisory roles, I am committed to providing high-impact financial solutions that drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Technical Proficiency

I am a Xero Certified Accountant and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, with advanced expertise in MYOB. My technical skill set is both broad and in-depth, encompassing proficiency across multiple platforms and systems. I am highly skilled in the advanced use of Microsoft Office and Adobe tools and possess experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Navision.

In addition, I bring hands-on experience with Zoho CRM and a deep understanding of integrated accounting systems, enabling me to support and streamline financial operations effectively. This combination of technical and financial expertise positions me as a valuable asset for businesses seeking to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational performance.

Achievements and Leadership

My leadership transcends technical expertise, demonstrated by a track record of driving organizational success through innovative strategies and hands-on management. A notable achievement includes resolving a four-year backlog in statutory compliance at SLITHM within a single year. My capability to deliver results under pressure, coupled with strong communication and decision-making skills, establishes me as a leader adept at navigating complex financial environments. Furthermore, I implemented an integrated store management system at SLITHM, which enhanced reporting accuracy by 60% and reduced labour costs by 50%.

Personal Pursuits and Achievements

Beyond my professional commitments, I am deeply engaged in diverse personal interests and community initiatives. As a traveller and sports enthusiast, I enjoy athletics and actively participate in community projects that foster social harmony.

Notably, I was the university champion athlete in 1999, proudly representing Sabaragamuwa University in the Inter-University Games—a role that underscored my dedication to teamwork, physical endurance, and resilience.

My dedication to community development includes contributions to the "Peace Laboratory" National Integration project, supported by the Embassy of Sweden, which enhanced my commitment to fostering social harmony

Additionally, I served as a student member of the Faculty Board at Sabaragamuwa University, where I actively supported academic and student welfare initiatives by demonstrating my commitment to leadership and community impact.

Guided a New Zealand entrepreneur through a successful business acquisition, led end-to-end financial due diligence, funding negotiations, and systems implementation for the business acquisition, enabling profitable operations within 12 months.
